VariEATy is back! Last year, Variety the Children’s Charity of New York launched a brand new fundraising campaign – Varieaty: Local Eats to Benefit Local Youth. This year, we are bigger and better than ever! Join us from Saturday, April 29th-Saturday, May 6th as our favorite food trucks, stands, and vendors donate a percentage of their sales to Variety The Children’s Charity of New York. EATALY NYC Downtown and Variety the Children’s Charity of New York are proud to present an exclusive VariEATy class: Hands-On Pasta Making and Mozzarella Stretching. Join us for a fun, instructive, and delicious night as we learn about two Italian specialties while enjoying the beautiful EATALY space overlooking the World Trade Center. 100% of ticket sale proceeds benefit Variety The Children’s Charity of New York! Part One: Hands-on Pasta Making
The perfect fresh pasta is the result of few carefully selected ingredients, a well-crafted dough and the art of creating the perfect shapes for the perfect sauces. Learn all of these techniques and more at a semi-hands-on Fresh Pasta class with our Pasta Expert!

· Interact in a demonstration on making a fresh egg dough
· Knead and shape dough into classic styles of pasta
· Taste the completed dish family style just like in Italy
· Enjoy a specialty wine selected by the EATALY Sommelier

Part Two: Mozzarella Stretching
Savor 45 minutes of pure cheesy bliss — guests will watch while our Cheese Expert demonstrates how to make creamy, chewy mozzarella from curds and boiling salted water. At the conclusion, enjoy a taste of our housemade mozzarella, freshly stretched drizzled in premier olive oil and paired with tasty tomatoes!

· Discover the meaning of the Italian food classification D.O.P.
· Mold warm mozzarella into classic shapes like a true Napolitano
· Indulge in original mozzarella recipes from Campania

We are pleased to offer two tiers of tickets for this event:

Tier One- Chef’s Table Ticket: $150
A limited number of 12 tickets are available for guests to be seated at the chef’s demonstration table during the class. Chef’s Table Ticket holders will be invited to participate in extra hands-on opportunities, as well as receive a voucher for a free glass of wine at one of the EATALY restaurants to enjoy after class.

Tier Two- Tasting Ticket: $125
A limited number of 20 tickets are available for guests to observe and participate in the demonstration behind the chef’s table participants (standing room only). These guests will have hands-on opportunities throughout the class, as well as the chance to indulge in the culinary creations produced from the VariEATy class!
