Variety New York has been partnering with local movie theaters for over 40 years to fundraise for its grant-making programs.  Annually, Variety New York partners with several movie theater chains: Bow Tie Cinemas, National Amusements and City Cinemas. The Wishing Well campaign runs from mid-November through March and allows movie theater patrons to drop spare change in Variety canisters.

At the completion of the campaign we host a Thank You dinner for all the top producing theater managers and staff members from each theater.  It is at this time that we also introduce and kick-off the next year’s campaign materials. This dinner is held each November in New York City.

Variety the Children’s Charity of New York is proud to announce that with the generosity of the theater industry and its patrons we have been able to collect over $1,800,000 in the last six years. These donations help fund various Variety of New York programs and services.

Platinum Sponsor: $7,500
