Variety the Children’s Charity of New York has partnered with jewelry designer, Carolyn Gang of SeidenGang Designs in releasing a limited edition heart necklace. The piece entitled “Inspiration Heart” pays homage to the Variety logo and all it stands for. These limited edition necklaces will be released in both sterling silver and 18karat color bronze, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Carolyn Gang has been designing high end baubles for women with a passion for life and flair for style for over 20 years. Her creations have been sold in high end retail stores nationwide. A true artist herself, Variety NY is honored to have Carolyn on board to create these truly unique pieces. Variety New York strongly believes that the arts support creativity and equip children to succeed academically, vocationally and in life. Through its arts programs, young people are gaining the personal, social, academic and professional skills they need to succeed.
“After hearing about Variety from a close friend and board member I wanted to learn more about their mission and how they impact the lives of underserved children through the arts,” Carolyn states of how she got involved with this project. “I believe in their vision and felt if I can contribute in any way it would be worthwhile and satisfying to me.”
Knowing that the heart is the symbol of Variety, Carolyn designed a heart within a heart combining passion and creativity. It has a handmade feel with irregular edges and is accented with 7 stones set in bezels on the front symbolizing the power of the number 7. On the reverse side is the inspirational words: Create, Inspire, Imagine! “I do hope that the heart I have designed will give inspiration to others to be creative and follow their dreams,” says Carolyn of her creation.
