Variety the Children’s Charity of New York 2012 Grant Overview

In order to qualify for a Variety grant, your organization must have programs that fall into one of our focus areas:

 Performance Arts

Examples include: dance, theater, improvisation, music, spoken word, hip-hop, DJing, radio, film, step, circus

 Visual Arts 

Examples include: painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, architecture, graphic art, digital art, craft work

Variety awards restricted grants for specific projects and programs up to $25,000.  Applicants must address all of the requirements listed in the grant application.  The grant application deadline is November 2, 2012.  Grants decisions will be made by June 2013 and funds distributed thereafter.

We do not grant money for capital improvements, administrative overhead, to other foundations, nor individuals.  We do not make funding commitments beyond one year.  If a grant application is denied the applicant must wait one year from the date the grant decision letter was sent to re-apply.
