Annual “You’ve Gotta Have Heart” Awards Reception
Hosted by The Motion Picture Club and Variety the Children’s Charity of New York
On June 6, 2012 in New York City, the Motion Picture Club and Variety the Children’s Charity of New York will present the “You’ve Gotta Have Heart” Award to person of the year—Mr. Craig Zeltner. This event is hosted annually by Variety the Children’s Charity of New York and the Motion Picture Club. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Variety the Children’s Charity of New York whose mission is “to support grassroots non-profit organizations in the Tri-State area whose programs use the arts as a catalyst to transform the lives of under-served children.”
The “You’ve Gotta Have Heart” Award is presented annually to the individual selected as the Motion Picture Club’s person of the year. This unique award recognizes an individual who has not only demonstrated considerable success in the arts and entertainment field, but who has also maintained a strong commitment to improving his or her community through charitable work. The inaugural recipient of the award was Mr. Charles B. Moss, Jr., co-founder of Bow Tie Partners and Bow Tie Cinemas. Mr. Moss was recognized for his accomplishment in film and entertainment as well as his outstanding expression of service and philanthropy demonstrated by his roles as President of Variety the Children’s Charity of New York, Chairman of Rave Motion Pictures and Chairman of the Toronto International Film Festival Group Foundation.
This year’s awardee is Mr. Craig Zeltner, Vice President of Film at Clearview Cinemas. Mr. Zeltner, who has spent over 40 years in the field of film and entertainment, has gone above and beyond in his roles at Clearview Cinemas. He has not only continued to select the best possible entertainment for Clearview’s communities, but he was also instrumental in transform the Claridge Cinemas into one of the most important arts venues in New Jersey. As a result of his accomplishments, Mr. Zeltner was recently one of only five people inducted into the ShowEast Hall of Fame in 2011. In addition to his professional accolades, Mr. Zeltner remains tirelessly committed to arts education in communities through his roles as a member of the Will Rogers Institute Board of Directors and a member of the Motion Picture Club.
